  • Dress code: to go inside the cathedral, back, shoulders and at least half tight must be covered or entrance to the monument won’t be possible
  • Remember that all tourists before to climb the Tower have to go to the proper left-luggage office to hand in bags/luggage before starting the visit.
  • Due to special religious functions, sometimes the cathedral will not be visitable with the guide.
  • DiscoveryPisa offers a refund on cancellations made more than 24 hours prior to your tour. Cancellations made within 24 hours of your tour will not be refunded.
  • As stated above, we do not refund clients within 24 hours of a tour, and this includes customers who are late due to flight or train cancellations, delays or issues caused by traffic or congestion, Train or flight strike etc. We do not refund either if these problems are caused by the rain.
  • For the customers arriving by cruise ship, pay attention to how far the harbour is from the meeting point.

More Than Only the Tower

Andrea is a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic tour guide. She explained the rivalry between Pisa and Florence while explaining the Medici family influence on Pisa. Walking through the cathedral and then having access to the tower was very interesting. It was wonderful to explore the Square of Miracles and ending with information about the leaning tower. Excellent tour and Andrea is amazing. I highly recommend taking this tour.

Great tour, excellent tour guide. She was knowledgeable and easy to listen to. She was informative but made it fun. She checked everyone was OK and answered questions. The climb up the leaning tower was lots of steps, so only do this if you can manage over 300 steps. The steps weren't steep, but in places the marble was a little slippery and worn and uneven. The climb was worth it for fabulous views over the city and the cathedral.

Really lovely guide, who was super knowledgable and informative. Very good value for money - we needed up having a private tour when no one else turned up - so pleased it was not cancelled.

I lead small group tours all over Europe, and have used many guides. This was one of my best experiences. Our guide was entertaining and provided enough detail that we learned some interesting facts, but brief enough that we didn't get bored. I will use Discovery Pisa again when I return next year!

This tour was the perfect length and out guide was so knowledgeable and very funny at the same time. The tour went for only 1.5 hours and this was plenty of time to learn and about the city and climb the Pisa tower.
