Overview

On our uniquely selected route, you will see a wide array of beautiful spots in Chiang Mai. This private Chiang Mai bike tour is packed with many landmarks, local history and hidden gems. Schedule: 8:00 AM Get picked up at your hotel and drive to the starting point at Wat Chai Mongkol temple 8:30 AM quick briefing and bike fitting. Ride along the Mae Ping River before entering old Chiang Mai - Lampun road. Grab some photos of the 125 years old rubber trees 9:00 AM Continue to the iron bridge for some beautiful photos and then ride to the old area of Wat Gate 9:30 AM Cross over the Mae Ping river to the Chiang Mai Chinatown. 10:15 AM Ride along Thapae road and ending at the ancient Thapae Gate 10:45 AM Continue to the Three Kings monument and then Wat Chedi Luang temple 11:30 AM Continue peddling to Wua Lai road and finish our biking at the stunning Silver Temple. Here we will jump on a local red truck and ride back to your hotel 12:00 PM Arrive back at your hotel

  • Wat Chai Mongkhon (Pass By)

    Wat Chai Mongkhon, an ancient royal monastery, is one of the most important temples in Ayutthaya province. Also called the Great Monastery of Auspicious Victory, this temple is known for its Buddha statues in saffron robes.Before you leave, climb the stairs for a beautiful view of the statues and garden!

  • Ping River (Pass By)

    The Mae Ping River cuts through Chiang Mai, just a few blocks east of the Old City and night market, where its banks have been developed with hotels, open-air restaurants and bars. As it flows through the countryside, the river retains its natural charm. The ancient city of Wiang Kum Kam is also located on the coast south of Chiang Mai.

  • Iron Bridge (Sapaan Lek) (Pass By)

    This picturesque steel bridge looks old but is actually a modern creation, built as a homage to the old Nawarat Bridge, which was demolished in the 1970s. Every evening it lights up with changing colours throughout the night, and is a popular place for young locals to hang out.

  • Thapae East - Venue for the Creative Arts

    Thapae Gate is the main entrance to Chiang Mai's center (the old walled city). It was before used by the traders, diplomats and visiting monks who passed it to enter the city. Thapae Gate is also the city's main place for public events and festivals.

    Located in the center of Chiang Mai, in the area where palaces used to stand, the Three Kings Monument is dedicated to the three Northern Lao Kings who founded the city of Chiang Mai. This has become an iconic part of the city and is reproduced in different forms and installed in different parts of Chiang Mai

  • Wat Chedi Luang Varavihara (Pass By)

    Wat Chedi Luang is a Buddhist temple in the historic centre of Chiang Mai. It’s easy to see why Wat Chedi Luang is one of the most popular temples in Chiang Mai.There’s a surprising amount to see here and the wat land area is huge. Chedi Luang is a very popular temple for Thai’s who come here to celebrate many of the larger Buddhist celebrations.

  • Wat Sri Suphan (Pass By)

    The Silver Temple in Chiang Mai is truly one of the most unique temples in the city! The temple, made entirely out of plated silver, takes on a bluish hue at certain times of the day and from different angles it can change colours as well. This is why some people may refer to it as the blue or silver temple.

Active, informative bicycle tour around old Chiang Mai

We greatly enjoyed this unique touring experience. It is not for the faint-hearted as you bike right along the road with scooters/motorcycles, and cars. With our English speaking travel guide, Oak, as our tour leader (private tour of 2, husband and myself), the entire tour was filled with interesting sights, temple stops, and great information about the area, history, and culture of Chiang Mai. Oak even came to the rescue when a bird dropped an untimely gift on my clothes with a spare cleansing wipe. With such an active type of tour, Oak was professional, calm, and informative- from the very beginning with his timely arrival at the pick up spot at our hotel until drop-off. We were able to get plenty of pictures along the way. We never felt rushed, and were able to learn and see so much since we were easily able to pause for quick stops. Strongly recommend this tour for those interested in combining a bit of a physical activity and culturally-inclined experience.

Great bike and sites tour in Chiang Mai

We had a wonderful bike and sights tour this morning with ForeverVacation in Chiang Mai. Our wonderful guide, Nannie, picked us up right on schedule at our hotel, from which we proceeded to the bike shop to get fitted for our journey. The biking was the perfect cadence, fun and adventurous but also safe and not too taxing. We saw a number of impressive sites in Chiang Mai, and got to try delicious Dinosaur Donuts in Chinatown. All in all a 10/10. The communication from ForeverVacation was fantastic and they were great to work with. Highly recommend.
