    Listen as your your guide explains why the famous Leaning Tower started to lean in the first place. At approximately 60m (180 feet) high, it serves as the bell tower of the cathedral. The tower was built to accommodate a total of seven main bells. Climb the 251 steps of the the famous leaning of Pisa (if the option is chosen) on your own with pre-reserved timed entry tickets. Either way, say goodbye to your guide with enough knowledge to truly enjoy the rest of your stay in Pisa.

A great morning in Pisa!

My husband and I really enjoyed the tour, it was very nice that it worked out to be just the two of us with the guide. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, friendly, well organised and the tour was well paced. We would have liked to spend a little more time in the Cathedral and the Cemetary however we appreciated the guide pointing out all the fascinating details that she could, and sharing the highlights. It was a great experience and we learned a lot. We followed it up with lunch in a small restaurant and a visit to the Museo dell'Opera del Duomo.

City Highlights and Climb the Tower of Pisa. Amazing Tour of Pisa

Pleasantly surprised with this tour. We planned this day trip from Florence to get pictures in front of the tower, but we had a blast on this small group tour (it ended up being just our family). Our tour guide Chiara has lived in Pisa her whole life and it truly showed in her deep knowledge of the city’s history. We loved seeing the church which was one of the more beautiful (which is saying a lot in Italy) along with the baptistery and the cemetery was one of the highlights including the story about the Monument’s Men from WW2 who helped with the restoration work. I would highly recommend.
