Overview

“Wow, I would have never found this place on my own”. That’s what our tour is for! We introduce you a food and ancient eateries that you are not going to find anywhere else. Trastevere is considered to be the heart of the traditional Roman cuisine. Here, we will experience the tradition of small family run gems, while getting to know great chefs who reinterpreted the Roman cuisine with refinement and taste. Everything you taste is made with organic or locally sourced ingredients, that we had meticulously selected by being the best in the city. The experience is a combination of traditional and creative gourmet food. The highligh is a creative bistrot where the guide together with the chef will teach you how to prepare the most famous Roman recipe. Ending the tour at an exceptional gourmet gelateria, your guide will inform you on essential tips to ensure that you will make the most of every day while in Rome. ​

Meeting points

The group will meet at 10.30 am (for the morning tour) and at 5 pm (for the afternoon tour) outside trattoria Sora Lella on Via di Ponte Quattro Capi, 16, 00186 Roma RM on the Isola Tiberina (Tiber Island). Look for the guide with the sign BITES OF ROME.

Best guided tour. The guide new the best places to eat. She was very nice and fun. I will recommend the tour if you don’t know the Trastevere area.

Martina was wonderful. The food was delicious!!! I will be dreaming of that food for a long time. Seeing all the sights in Rome is wonderful but can be exhausting. This was more relaxing and fun.

Martina was the best. She was sweet and accommodating. It was hot and we were tired. Family of 5, three young adults. Food options were very authentic AND Tasty. We did the evening tour. About 3 hours perfect amount of walking and local customs covered extremely well!

What an incredible experience! Martina was our kind for a small group food tour of Rome (it was myself and a couple on the tour). She was extremely pleasant, great conversation and knowledgeable!
