Overview

Join our guides in this amazing 2 hours walking tour into the ruins of the archaeological site of Pompeii. You will be led by a professional, archaeology and art history expert guide at the discovery of the highlights of the Roman city while listening in details to the Ancient customs and traditions.  On tour you will see the gymnasium, also known as palestra, where the gladiators used to exercise; the theatres, the bakeries, restaurants, ancient laundries and shops; you will also enter the House of Menander and the Baths. Last but not the least you will pass into the Lupanariae - the red-light district - to end into the Forum, Please, consider this is a small group tour - up to 18 participants.

Meeting points

The guide will wait for you at the entrance of the Coffee Shop Vittoria, close to Porta Marina Inferiore entrance. Be at the meeting point 10 minutes before the starting time, in case of any delay the guide WILL NOT wait since it is a group tour and the entrance tickets are booked for that time.

Our guide really brought the site to life. He gave excellent insights and engaged the whole group in the experience. A single guided tour can never cover all the detail of Pompeii, but the archaeologist leading this tour gives you some of the tools required to confidently explore the rest of the park after the tour.

Lello is amazing with kids!!!

Lello is absolutely amazing!! So perfect with our kids (ages 9 & 11). He had them engaged the entire time. Lello is funny, entertaining, while at the same time providing in-depth knowledge and history of Pompeii. He is obviously an absolute expert. If you are bringing kids, you must book Lello!!!
