Our journey begins with the iconic Sintra Monuments and the historic center, then takes you to the picturesque vineyard region of Collares and onward to Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of the European Continent. Descending the southern part of Sintra Mountain, we follow a stunning coastal road to Cascais in Portugal, offering breathtaking vistas on a clear day, almost like a mirage. This private tour is crafted to provide you with undivided attention, ensuring an immersive and personalized experience.

Meeting Point

In front of Sintra train Station you have a coffee shop called Cynthia. That will be the meeting point for those who choose no pick-up (11 am)

End Point

This activity ends back at the meeting point.

Pickup Details

Pickup any place in Lisbon area if you choose option pickup (9am). If you choose no pickup option (11am) meeting point will be in front of Sintra train station or any hotel in Sintra.

What To Expect

1. Castelo dos Mouros Walk to the walls of the castle (outside). If you want you can visit inside. 20 minutes

2. Pena Palace is the most visited monument in Portugal. Tours bought after 2023/01/21 will include Pena Palace Ticket. Entrance hour will depend of how busy the Palace is and we'll manage our day paying attention to this so the visit can be as much effortless as possible. All the other Monuments doesn't include tickets an we'll buy it on the way (we skip the lines to buy it). All monuments you decide to go inside will be a guided tour unless otherwise required. 1 hour 30 minutes

3. Castelo dos Mouros You'll have the opportunity to see the castle from the Road. As we consider that in Sintra there is much more interesting places to visit if you really want to go there our advice is to go just to the walls and not inside. But it's, as it will be during the day, your option 20 minutes

4. Quinta da Regaleira Build in 1910 this is the youngest palace in Sintra. Built by a free mason it's famous because of a big well 1 hour 15 minutes

5. Centro Historico de Sintra Here you can visit the old town of Sintra with the palace, the narrow streets and the famous pastry. 1 hour

6. Cabo da Roca The western most point of Continental Europe 20 minutes

7. Guincho Beach The famous and beautifull Guincho beach

8. Parque e Palacio de Monserrate The gardens and palace f Monserrate is famous for his beauty

9. The beautifull Cascais bay. The tour is finished and we are going back to Sintra by the highway, If you desire you can stay in Cascais and go back to Lisbon by train (same ticket).

10. Sintra Railway Station The end of our tour back to Sintra. 5 minutes

11. Boca do Inferno You have to discover by yourself 20 minutes

Action packed day out from Lisbon

Rui met us promptly at our hotel and took us on a private tour of Sintra , Cascais and Roca , including a lovely local authentic Portuguese restaurant for lunch , he was super attentive , got us through all the long queues at the various sights very quickly , informative and had many interesting snippets of local knowledge to share, it was an action packed day out , we wouldn’t have seen so much without his help , he was also an excellent and safe driver with a comfortable car .

We had an amazing day on the Sintra Fill Day tour with Rui as our guide. He went above and beyond to make sure we saw all the beautiful sights . He suggested some of the best restaurants we have eaten on our trip. It was the best tour of our trip!

Wonderful Experience

We booked this tour for our family of nine. Pedro and Rui were outstanding! They picked us up at two different locations with two vans. They were very knowledgeable and patient: we never felt rushed. Pena Palace was incredible! Thanks to our guides we skipped the long lines. They went above and beyond pointing at all the best places to take a picture and they suggested a wonderful pastry shop where we stopped for lunch. The sandwiches were huge, delicious and not expensive at all. Thank you Rui and Pedro!
