Overview

To make this ride even more special, we use funny machines called Segway Personal Transporter. The Segway PT is an electric vehicule composed of two parallel wheels and a reclining handelbar. Full of electronic, the machine balances thanks to the “dynamic stabilization” system. To move forward, you don’t need any acceleration pedal, you just have to lean forward and to move back or brake, you just have to lean backwards. Regarding the direction, the handlebar leans from left to right.

What To Expect

1. Lyon Segway Tour by ComhiC Votre guide local vous accueille au sein de notre boutique. Après une formation d'une quinzaine de minute, vous voilà partis à l'aventure sur vos gyropodes Segway. 15 minutes

2. Place Bellecour Votre premier arrêt se fera sur la place centrale de Lyon: la Place Bellecour. Connaissez-vous la légende que l'on raconte sur la Statue du Roi Louis XIV ? Votre guide vous la fera découvrir ! 10 minutes

3. Grand Hotel Dieu Arrêtez-vous devant l'ancien hôpital de Lyon. Savez-vous pourquoi l'hôpital se trouvait en bord de Rhône ? Savez-vous ce qu'est devenu ce bâtiment incontournable ? 10 minutes

4. Berges du Rhone C'est le moment de tester la vitesse de votre Segway. Vous découvrirez des lieux remarquables et des vues imprenables sur Lyon. 20 minutes

5. Place des Terreaux Après la Place Bellecour, vous découvrirez la belle place des Terreaux. Votre guide vous montrera l'Hôtel de Ville, le Musée des Beaux-Arts, la fontaine de Bartholdi ainsi que l'oeuvre de Buren. 15 minutes

6. Vieux Lyon Finissez votre aventure à Segway dans le Vieux-Lyon. Apprenez en plus sur le Palais de Justice Historique et la Cathédrale Saint-Jean. 20 minutes

We took a day trip to Lyon from Paris. This excursion was a great way to see the main historic sites without having to walk! The segways are a lot of fun to use and our tour guide was great! The price is well worth it. Definitely recommend.

So glad we took this tour! Our guide was Cécile, she was very welcoming and friendly and was able to show us around all the must sees in the old part of Lyon. Would definitely recommend to our friends!

The guide was very friendly and helpful. The warmest October since French records began helped as well but I wish parents with buggies would pay a bit more attention to where they shove their heirs on the 'pistes cyclables'. I'd highly recommend this tour.

Segway tour of Lyon

We took the tour in the afternoon on a hot day in Lyon. We recieved our hairnet and helmet at the start of the visit and a short practice session. We were taken around the sights of Lyon with a friendly and cheerful guide who spoke great english. Overall I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to quickly explore the city and learn about the history in a fun way!

Booked this tour on the internet, the website didn't accept my booking for some reason so I emailed directly, their communication was fantastic & they sorted my booking quickly, on my arrival at their riverside premises i was given proffessional tuition on how to pilot these bizzar machines, within 5 mins I was up & running- more training is given if required, they really do care for their customers! the tour itself was in English & French, loads of detail & interesting facts, It also became clear that this really IS one of the best ways to explore this beautifull city, worth every penny spent, briiliant!!!
