Overview

Meet your guide at the tourism office, Place Bellecour central Lyon and get aboard his minivan for a wonderful day in the Côtes du Rhône world. The northern part of the Rhône valley is reputed for its exceptional wines, several of them being classed amongst the finest in France. On this intimate tour we will give both winemaker and you the wine taster the opportunity to meet up and share a few words about terroir. You will taste the best wines of the region and see beautiful vine landscapes !

The meeting point is at the office de tourisme building, across the street in front on the Hotel royal Lyon, M-Gallery (20 Place Bellecour, Lyon)

Itinerary

  • Place Bellecour (Pass By)

    Your guide will pick you up Place Bellecour and you will be heading south to the prestigious Côte-Rôtie vineyards.

  • Chapelle Saint Christophe

    You will start with a breathtaking view overlooking the vines and the Rhône River at the Hermitage hill Belvedere. Your guide will tell you about the story of this mythical wine.

    1 hour

  • Tain-l'Hermitage

    you will push the door of a local winery and taste 5 or 6 different Côtes du Rhône wine varieties. Among them, you will find the excellent AOC wines : Hermitage and Croze-Hermitage. You will taste the best wine of the region and see beautiful vine landscapes !

    3 hours

  • Tournon-sur-Rhone

    During the second tasting of the day you will delight yourself with 5 or 6 different wine varieties. Among them, you will taste Saint-Joseph, Croze hermitage AOC and other delicates cuvées. You will certainly appreciate the considerable aromatic richness of these great wines.

Perfect ADA Friendly Wine Tasting Day!

We had a lovely day with our guide Eddie! My husband uses a mobility scooter & they created a wonderful custom Rhône wine tasting experience that was ADA friendly. We learned so much about the region, & enjoyed learning more about wines & wine tasting. We also had a wonderful lunch at a winery. Eddie was so helpful & knowledgeable. We were picked up from our hotel in the morning & dropped off at the train station which made our day so easy. The history & country side was amazing. Look forward to going back someday.
