Overview

We will teach you how to cook a seafood paella. A team of native cooks and assistants who will teach you how to cook a seafood paella in the most enjoyable and amusing way. We will try that you learn all the keys of this dish. After completing the course we will continue in contact with you to resolve doubts that may arise, until you achieve to belong to this select group of rice cooks.

Itinerary

We will meet at the door of San Valero Parish. We will go to the Ruzafa market together and we will make the purchase of the fresh products necessary to cook a good paella. While we are making the purchase we will tell you the origin of the paella and customs and culture of the Valencian people. Later we will walk for 8 minutes to reach the kitchen where we will hold a sangria workshop. The chef will be waiting us with some delicious tapas accompanied by sangria, beer, water ... Then our chef will explain step by step the preparation of a seafood paella and once finished we will sit down to taste it. We will accompany the paella with a Valencian tomato salad, Valencia wines, seasonal fruit, typical Valencian sponge cake, sweet wine and coffee.

This class was so much fun and educational. The staff was great. The food and drinks were amazing. From the tapas before the class to the final paella product. One of the best food tour classes we have done overseas.

My wife and I took the seafood paella cooking call yesterday and had an excellent fantastic time. The meet-up was flawless and the trip to Ruzafa market to buy the ingredients was both informative and a good way to break the ice between the participants. The tapas and sangria that we were served upon arrival at the kitchen didn’t hurt either. The preparation was explained in detail and everyone got a chance to participate in the cooking process. The chefs were both friendly and knowledgeable and took time to make sure that everyone was having an enjoyable experience. The meal we cooked was excellent and we all enjoyed making new friends as a part of this shared experience. As a matter of fact, we ran into some of our new friends today while sightseeing and exchanged information about Barcelona where coincidentally, we are all going tomorrow. Well done to the entire team from MyFirstPaella. On a 1-5 scale we rate them a solid 10!!

Great paella experience in Valencia

Anna and Chris were amazing. We had alot of fun, ate delicious food and learned so much about cooking paella. I highly recommend the experience. The Rustafa neighborhood market was delightful and a great way to start the class. By the end we all felt like family.

My first paella - excellent

What an excellent day. Because of the tragic events in Valencia our numbers were fewer than normal. We met outside the Russafa market, went inside to collect the ingredients required. Off to the kitchens where we were greeted with freshly made Sangria followed by tapas. Then our team gave a spirited, informative presentation of cooking paella as we followed their instructions in preparing and cooking. Best part we then ate our paellas washed down with a couple of glasses of wine. You could not improve on this day, thoroughly enjoyable.
