Join us on this small-group, expert-led tour of the Colosseum and the remains of the ancient city that surrounds it, and learn everything there is to know about one of the greatest cities on Earth.

Our last stop is the Roman Forum, the beating heart of the ancient city. Discover what life was like for everyday Romans as you explore the social, religious, and political hub of the Roman Empire. Marvel at the remains of 2,000-year-old temples, triumphal arches, sprawling basilicas and much much more as you tread the same stones as Caesar and Cicero once did.
Once the tour is finished you will be able to go inside the forum and visit it at your own pace.

Follow in the footsteps of the Caesars as you walk the Via Sacra (Sacred Way). This was the route victorious generals and their legions took into the Roman Forum, parading their spoils and captives to the cheers and jeers of the crowd. According to the legend, the Palatine Hill is where Romulus founded the Eternal City after killing his twin Remus in a fit of rage. It’s also the hill on which the rich and famous of the Roman Republic lives, and on which the emperors built their monumental and luxurious palaces.

The Tour Guide Selina is an archaelogist as well as a tour guide. She was very knowledgeable and ensured that we were taken to spots where we could get some great pictures. We were a group of 11 so it worked out very well. She was great at time management so we moved along at a nice steady pace. She allowed time for questions all throughout the tour. Her communications were very clear and included stories that were fun and interesting.
I would recommend this tour and Selina as a tour guide.
