Overview

The winery visit is a sensory experience and a chance to learn about the precious grape varieties that are used to make the amazing wines of the Valle D’Itria. You’ll see the 16th century Masseria and Trulli as well as the ultra-modern winery where you can understand the processes from harvesting to production right through to bottling and dispatch. There will be a tasting of 4 different wines with savoury snacks. A quick visit of Locorotondo , the “the medieval round town” , then a tasty light lunch including typical food from the Farm and “Locorotondo DOC” local wine . Then, on to Alberobello. A Unesco World Heritage site since 1996, the historic centre is made up oftwo distinct regions. We’ll visit an ancient Trullo and meet a genuine local Trullo Master who willdescribe the construction techniques of the Trulli. At the end of the tour a tasting of typical “rosoli” can be sampled on a stunning panoramic terrace up amongst the cones and pinnacles of the surrounding Trulli.

Alberobello

A Unesco World Heritage site since 1996, the historic centre is made up of two distinct regions. We’ll visit an ancient Trullo and meet a genuine local Trullo Master who will describe the construction techniques of the Trulli. Visiting Puglia soon? Look no further than Apulian Experience! Emilio allowed us to completely customize a full day, 8 hour tour of the Valle D'Itria in Puglia where my wife and I were picked up at our hotel and got so much more than just a full tour of the valley. We go to experience: a wine tasting, fresh cheese tasting, focaccia tasting, coffee by the sea, AND 3 different town walking tours full of history and culture. Our tour guide Emilio and his colleague, whose name escapes me, were absolutely fantastic with not only catering our every need but actively suggesting what to do next and where to go. We had long conversations about wine, life, Puglia's history past, present and future and by the end it felt like we were hanging out with friends of ours, not tour guides we just met. The BEST way to LIVE the Puglia experience is with those who know it best and Emilio knows it best. I give 5 stars because it will not allow me to give 6. What are you waiting for people!? The tour was very good. Angelo our guide was very informative and personable and considerate of our needs. As a local he was intune with the 2 towns visited and he was also a sommelier so could talk with knowledge about wines. Overall great value and great day. Frank Taranto

Angelo was a fantastic guide. He was so friendly and knowledgeable about everything we saw during our day out. The vineyard tour and wine tasting were a revelation as we actually enjoyed the white wines! It was a great day out during our stay in Ostuni. Would highly recommend to anyone.

This trip was a great experience and one we would recommend to anybody. The pick up was from our door and perfectly on time. The guide, Angelo, was friendly from the start and provided a lot of interesting information and stories. The tour was overall very interesting with a good amount of wine to taste.
