Overview

You will pass through the wonderful Monchique village; visit the Barranco dos Pisão park; and will head to 902 meters of altitude in Fóia, the highest point in the Algarve, this route made in our 4x4 convertible Portuguese emblematic vehicle. It is advisable to take: - Comfortable clothes and shoes, - Hat, water, personal identification, - Camera and good mood

We will pick up customers from the Hotel or any other place where they are staying. It is even possible if you prefer in another location to combine Locations: Portimão, Lagos and Praia da Luz

What To Expect

1. Monchique We pass through the streets inside Monchique

2. A green space, very wooded where a stream of clear water passes A centenary plane tree stands out and was classified as a Tree of Public Interest There is also the water mill that was restored, and in which you can still see the old mechanism for grinding cereals with the force of the water in the stream. 30 minutes

3. Handicraft shop located in Fóia 15 minutes

4. Fóia is the highest point in the Algarve It is 902 m high with a stunning landscape There is a pleasant terrace and also typical handicrafts from the region 40 minutes

5. Monchique Of course, we will not leave Monchique without tasting the famous "firewater" 10 minutes

Great day out, got to see a side of the Algarve not many do, Mauro was fantastic, highly recommended, we will definitely be back next time we are in the Algarve

We spent very nice hours with Mauro. With dedication he showed us the beautiful nature of the Serra. The off-road ride was fun and the medronho and tap water were delicious. I would like to do a tour with Mauro again.

Great way to see some fantastic views

We took this 1/2 day trip in the hope of seeing landscapes and viewpoints - we certainly got what we wanted and more with some lovely little extra stops too! We enjoyed the off road tracks too - we had every confidence in Mauro’s driving skills! Booking and pickup was simple and easy. Next time we here we’ll be signing up for the Sagres sunset tour! Thoroughly enjoyed our trip - thank you!

My partner and I both thoroughly enjoyed the tour, even with some rain the sights were amazing - especially with the bench seats and open canopy-style roof at the back. Mauro (our guide/driver) was very experienced and took us through some brilliant steep off-road paths. Also make sure to try the firewater when up at Fóia!
