Our 1/KYOTO tours give you the opportunity to meet and spend a truly meaningful day with people who drive innovation in the historic city. We aim to transform your travel experience from ordinary sightseeing to meaningful encounters. During this tour, engage in a dialogue with Mr. Daisuke Kiyomizu, an innovative ceramic artist who pushes the boundaries of Kiyomizu ware (Kyoto-style ceramics), at his members-only studio gallery. Furthermore, you’ll be able explore a Kiyomizu ware workshop and witness live pottery demonstrations with exclusive access to areas not usually open to the public. For each part of the journey, a professional interpreter will guide you. A private taxi will also be available for transport from your accommodation.

Your English-speaking guide will meet you in the lobby of your accommodation before the start time. Please provide specific details about your accommodation after making the reservation, as we will address any concerns individually.

What To Expect

1. Kyoto We will pick you up by taxi at your accommodation and head to the experience location. 30 minutes

2. Observe Kiyomizu ware created for Mr. Kiyomizu’s brand, plus a live demonstration during an hour-long briefing at TOKINOHA Ceramic Studio. Afterwards, you will have a one-hour conversation with Mr. Kiyomizu at his members-only gallery. 2 hours

3. Kyoto We will take you by taxi from the experience location to your accommodation. 30 minutes
