A sudden eruption by the volcano, Vesuvius in 79 A.D. buried Pompeii under 6 meters of ash and wiped it off the map until it was rediscovered in 1599. The tour walks you through a selection of the main villas, such as: House of Menander, House of the Gladiators, House of Julie Felix, House of Loreius Tiburtinus, House of Sallust, House of the Tragic Poet, House of the Vettii Lupanar, Temple of Isis and the suburban baths. The itinerary is perfect for curious and inquiring minds that are looking to get the most out of their visit.

Excellent Experience with LivTours

Our expert guide, Carla, led us through the ruins to a wide variety of former restaurants, temples, the famed brothel and baths, and so much more. With a depth of knowledge from across Pompeii, Naples, and Rome, she impressed us and led us through the sites with minimal wait and safest possible conditions for my mobility limited mother in law. Truly a great trip!
