You have the opportunity to learn several techniques, camera menus and different settings. We take you to several and diferente scenerys in Terceira island, to put everything into practice. If you want to know more information about this tour, please contact us by email. You can also visit this 2 places that are open to public is volcano Algar do Carvão and Christmas Cave. This places are only open in Fall/winter on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. In summer every day is open. They are also closed on expecial occasions as Christmas days or special date.

One of the best tours my family has ever taken

My family spent 2 wonderful days with Juca doing 2 custom tours. He took us to the best, off the beaten track spots, provided interesting information, and took the most beautiful photos. He is patient, kind, accommodating, and super fun. No question was stupid and no request was too much. I genuinely feel like we made a new friend. If you are thinking about doing a tour with Azores Expeditions, just book it! I promise you won’t be disappointed.

I had the pleasure of joining a custom photo tour with Juca, and it was truly an exceptional experience. From the very start, Juca was a warm and welcoming presence, making our private group of 3 feel at ease right away. His extensive knowledge of Terceira island’s hidden gems and local spots was impressive, and it was clear that he was genuinely passionate about sharing the best that the island has to offer. What stood out the most was Juca's dedication and patience. He took the time to ensure that we had ample opportunities to capture the perfect shots, never once rushing us or making us feel pressured. His insights and tips were incredibly valuable, helping us to see the island in a new light and capture stunning photographs. We also enjoyed the local lunch spot that added a wonderful cultural touch to our day. Make sure to bring cash for this. If you’re looking for a photo tour guide who is not only extremely informative but also warm and accommodating, I highly recommend any of the tours he offers. It was a fantastic experience, and his enthusiasm and expertise made the tour memorable and enriching.

I am so glad I booked the photo tour with Azores Expeditions. They are a family owned business and are responsive and dedicated to giving the best tour to their clients. We had such an amazing time, and honestly the best photo tour I’ve been on. The photos were amazing, and Juca is the most dedicated photographer I’ve met on a photo tour. He was giving us multiple perspectives, taught us different settings on our camera, and showed us to lesser known places to take the most amazing photos. It was a pleasure having him show us the island!! We would have booked him again the next day if he had occupancy. Well worth the price and time!

Juca was amazing! He knew all the hidden spots to take the best photos and was so accommodating the entire time. He is an excellent teacher. I know my photographs will improve because of the tips he shared. Juca shared island history with us so we learned a lot about Terceira, too. We finished the day with some great memories and photographs to remember them by. Huge hug from Michigan!

We had the most fantastic time with Juca on our photo tour. He is a phenomenal tour and guide that makes you feel like friends. We saw the most incredible spots on the island and had so much fun along the way. The photos were incredible and definitely a highlight of our entire trip to the Azores. I would come back to the island just to work with Juca again!
