Venture off the beaten path to explore secret walkways, cafes, and the city’s last remaining vineyard. Start with the famous Moulin Rouge cabaret and finish at the majestic Sacré Coeur basilica for unparalleled views of Paris down below.

Please meet your guide in front of the Moulin Rouge. Note that the meeting point can be change to across the road from the Moulin Rouge in case of public works.

What To Expect

1. Place des Abbesses The first highlight of the tour stands on Place des Abbesses: one of the last Art Nouveau metro station. 10 minutes

2. Le Mur des Je t'aime Find out about the story of this beautiful piece of art which shows the romantic side of Paris. 10 minutes

3. Le Bateau-Lavoir The Bateau-Lavoir is a testimony of the artistic representation of Montmartre as many artists resided there during their time in Paris, Picasso being one of them. 10 minutes

4. Square Suzanne-Buisson In this little park, you will be told more about the roots and background of Montmartre. 15 minutes

5. La Petite Maison Rose de Montmartre (Since 1920) Learn about the story of one of the most iconic Montmartre spots. 10 minutes

6. Place du Tertre With your guide, wander around the most emblematic location in Montmartre. 15 minutes

7. Eglise Saint-Pierre de Montmartre Discover one of the oldest churches in Paris. If possible, you will be able to visit the inside. 15 minutes

8. Square Nadar This little park pays tribute to some of most important people to Montmartre. 15 minutes

9. Basilique du Sacre-Coeur de Montmartre The tour will end with one of the most beautiful panoramic view of Paris. If there is time, your guide can accompany you inside the Basilica. 10 minutes

Great Introduction to the Unique Montmartre

Our guide Christina did and excellent job of leading this tour through one of the many unique Parisian neighborhoods. She is an excellent story teller and came prepared with interesting photo's on her tablet to give us a full appreciation for the development of this part of Paris. What a great way to learn about this colorful part of Paris

Insight-full tour of Montmartre - highly recommended!

Thought I knew something about Montmartre, but the tour with Malaika was an eye opener in the best possible way. Her knowledge of art history and the social/cultural life if the area brought Montmartre to life in a whole new way. We encountered plenty of other walking tours, but all included very large groups of people. One reason I always choose Localers is that their tours have been just 5-8 people. The tours feel intimate and the guides are not only armed with impressive breadth of knowledge, they are engaging, enthusiastic and fun. Well worthwhile, highly recommended.
