As many other reviewers have mentioned, we chose to stay in the Civitavecchia port rather than travel to Rome for a day trip. We are so glad we spent time in this very important and historical port city. Our guide was superb, she spoke English fluently and provided us with a great experience - tasting our way through a fabulous history lesson. Highly recommend. PS I never knew capers grew on a vine.

Excellent all around! Roberta was a top-notch guide with excellent English and was a clear and strong communicator. We understood everything she said. She treated us all like long time friends. She really made the tour!! We ate so much food we honestly could not finish it all! (We stopped in a coffee shop, ate street food, and then finished at a restaurant with outdoor seating). Our tour was at 10 am — don’t eat breakfast first! Roberta has a genuine passion for her community and provided good history of Civitivecchia as we walked. We both highly recommend this fun tour!
