Discover this fascinating Sevilla tour based on the life of the great explorer and admiral Christopher Columbus. During this 3 hour tour you will learn about his origins, his sources of inspiration for his voyages, the history of his ships (Pinta, Niña and Santa Maria) and the preparation of this expeditions, key to understand the whole story and what happened afterwards. We will visit the ancient port of Seville, the archive where his documents are and the 2 tombs we have in our city in the monastery of the Carthusians and in the Cathedral. Torre del Oro is located at the Christopher Columbus Avenue, it is a moorish tower from 13 th century at the Guadalquivir river, close to Opera House and Bullring, quite easy to find.

What To Expect

1. Torre Del Oro Arab defensive tower of the 13th century at the edge of the Guadalquivir River and whose mission was the protection of the same and place where the port of Seville was located in the sixteenth century. 15 minutes

2. Avenue next to the river where the primitive port of the city was located with beautiful views of the Triana neighborhood and the primitive bridge, witness of the trade with the new world. 15 minutes

3. Monasterio de la Cartuja Impressive monastery of the order of the Carthusian monks at the edge of the Guadalquivir River where Christopher Columbus was buried for the first time and where the remains of his brother Diego Colon rest. 45 minutes

4. Our Cathedral is called Santa Maria and it is consider the biggest in gothic style in the world. Christopher Columbus tomb is a must.... 1 hour

5. Archivo General de Indias Interesting historical archive where you can find most of the documents related to the discovery of America in Spain with approximately 80 files with the lists of the sailors, maps of the new cities and merchandise. Impressive building full of history that began as the business center of the city with the new world. 45 minutes
