Nigata is known for the best sake producing area - Myoko isn't the exception with 3 sake breweries of unique history and product line-up. They are all small-sized truly local breweries. You can see more and communicate with the business owner and/or workers with a guide. After the brewery tour, we'll check and try local food at a local farmer's market.

What To Expect

1. Myoko Kogen Visitor Center We will have a briefing on Myoko and sake at the visitor center 30 minutes

2. Will visit one or two of three sake breweries in Myoko. - Ayumasamune (beautiful old Japanese house style brewery) - Kiminoi (170 years old sake brewery in Myoko) - Chiyono Hikari (may be able to see the actual sake making process) 1 hour

3. Myoko Sanroku Outlet Store Tomato Stop at the local farmer's market and have a local lunch if you choose to visit only one brewery. 45 minutes
