Our "Two Peaks in One Day" private tour enables you to experience the best of both mountains in one day. Start with Mt Rigi and its stunning 360-degree views of the surrounding Alps; visit an artisan alpine cheese-maker and walk a panoramic ridge route with views over 3 lakes. Relax with a picnic lunch on a scenic boat cruise before ascending to the top of Mt. Pilatus by gondola and “Dragon Ride” cableway. Return to lake level on the world’s steepest cogwheel train ride and then a quick and easy train ride back to Lucerne. Please note in winter, there may be a change in the cruise itinerary due to weather conditions. Full day fun and active adventure

Madeleine did a great job leading our hike and tour for our small group of 5. The hike was beautiful and appropriately strenuous for people who exercise fairly regularly. We stopped for a nice lunch and rode the gondola up to Mt Pilatus. Unfortunately the cog wheel train was out of order, so we had to take the gondola all the way to the bottom and a bus back to town.

Our guide Ezra was a joy to be with. It is obvious that he thoroughly enjoys what he does and is passionate about the beauty of Switzerland. He is very knowledgeable but fun! My sister & I are in our late 60’s early 70’s so most likely slower than younger folks. Ezra was patient and gave us plenty of breaks. And the views!! Fantastic! We highly recommend this trip and others Echo offers. You will not be disappointed!

Our Swiss rail journey

This rail journey trip through Switzerland is one of the most enjoyable travel experience that my wife and I have had. It stands out among dozens of trips that we have had globally. The husband and wife owners Rene and Suzanne were also our guides and Rene being a Swiss born has an incomparable knowledge of the country. The food, accommodations, scenery and attention to the details and needs of all group members was very satisfactory. Our tour was during second and third weeks of August. We saw lots of wild flowers, beautiful countryside and magnificent snow capped mountains both on foot as well as in the comfort of first class ultra modern electric trains. We highly recommend this journey and feel you will have a great time. John and Yvonne
