Overview

All tickets are included in the price! If you want to accelerate your Swiss Alps trekking tours and you can’t decide whether you should visit Mount Rigi or Mount Pilatus—why not see them both? This Swiss adventure tour allows you to experience the two most famous mountains near Lucerne on the same day. We start with Lucerne’s home mountain called Pilatus, 7000 feet high and the most famous attraction in Lucerne. We’ll take a standard train ride followed by a ride on the steepest cogwheel train in the world. On the summit you’ll take in a staggering overview of Lucerne and the Swiss Alps. From there we’ll continue by boat to a village called Vitznau. The boat ride is a fantastic way to relax and enjoy the alpine scenery. From Vitznau, we take our second cogwheel train for a ride to the top of Mount Rigi—the queen of the mountains. You’ll enjoy your second summit on the same day before we continue by cable car and take a boat ride from Weggis back to Lucerne.

Mount Pilatus is the home mountain of Lucerne and the most visited one, also because of the world's steepest cogwheel train in the world. This tour is very easy and no big physical effort is needed because we use public transports.

The Queen of the mountains. Besides Pilatus Rigi is the second most famous mountain close to Lucerne. This second part of the tour will be a relaxed, picturesque roundtrip. Including boat, cogwheel train, and cable car. You will have the most amazing view into the Swiss alps from Mount Rigi.

Unforgettable!

Roberto made our visit to Lucerne an experience we’ll never forget. He spent the entire day with us, ensuring every detail was seamless and stress-free. From meeting us at our hotel to guiding us on a scenic boat ride and a cogwheel train to the top of Mt. Rigi, every moment was thoughtfully planned. He even helped us carry our stroller and took the time to play with our 2-year-old daughter in the snow, which made her day! After descending the mountain by gondola, Roberto led us through Lucerne’s beautiful Old Town, sharing its history and taking us to his favorite local spots. His kindness and attention to detail, including bringing a backpack filled with toys and treats for our daughter, truly went above and beyond. If you’re looking for a private tour in Switzerland, Roberto is the best. He made our trip unforgettable, and we couldn’t recommend him more highly!

Roberto was amazing! He took care of everything, he planned multiple custom tours to fit our active family. With his expertise and intimate knowledge of this beautiful country, he guided us effortlessly, knowing the best times, days, and routes to cover as much territory as possible. We went on a private tour of Mount Rigi with Roberto. We enjoyed this tour a lot, thanks to our wonderful tour guide Roberto. Roberto was very professional, he always answered our calls and texts promptly prior to the tours. During the tour he took great care of us, he was kind, patient and a pleasure to be with. The boat tickets that he booked for us were first class which allowed us to sit on the upper deck to enjoy the beautiful views. We also did the e cargo bike tour with Anthony, one of Roberto's guides. We were able to go to places that huge bus tours wouldn't be able to go to and we saw breathtakingly beautiful sceneries that were truly hidden gems of Luzern. Anthony was a lot of fun to be with and we really enjoyed having him as our guide. We've been raving about this tour to friends and family and everyone that we talked to in Luzern and urged them not to miss an opportunity to enjoy this wonderful experience. We visited 6 cities on our Europe trip and Luzern is the most enjoyable and memorable city thanks to the two tours that we took with Roberto and Anthony.

Roberto was an excellent host and guide! There is no way we would have been able to capture the experiences on our own and it was a great day with plenty of time for all we wanted to see. The only disappointment was the clouds prevented any view at the top, but we still managed to have a great time.
