Overview

This private tour run by a true local introduces you to the most iconic district of Paris: the bohemian village of Montmartre. This tour will include: - the must-sees. Sacre Coeur, artists' square, the funicular, the best views of Paris etc. - the stories that come with it - why Van Gogh and Picasso started their art here etc - entrance to the Sacre Coeur rooftop. 300 steps up and stunning 360° views of Paris - if you don't want the rooftop, then a food treat, Montmartre's famous cream puffs with their stunning flavors. You choose either one, it's on us either way. - the vineyards, the cabaret of the assassins, and other hidden gems

Meeting Point

Meet on place Suzanne Valadon square, outside the entrance to the Montmartre funicular. The guide will wear a pink vest and we walk rather it rains or shines. In case of an emergency, call/WhatsApp. the number is on the reservation. The closest metro stop is Anvers, on line 2.

End Point

This activity ends back at the meeting point.

What To Expect

1. Montmartre Montmartre

2. Basilique du Sacre-Coeur de Montmartre this private tour will show you Paris' picture-perfect, iconic basilica many times, from many angles. There will be plenty of photo opps.

3. The stairs of rue Foyatier are a piece of art. They are featured in the most famous picture of Montmartre ever taken.

4. Le Mur des Je t'aime the wall of "I love you". you do not want to visit Montmartre and miss this wall, do you now!? 5 minutes

5. We don't need to ride it but it's a great photo opp.

6. The heart of the village of Montmartre. Parisians move to this area for this rue des abbesses street. Seeing is believing. 5 minutes

7. Montmartre has the best foods in Paris. This is the house of diving cream puffs. We'll give you puffs. Our treat. Hard place to find, but so worth it. 10 minutes

8. Place des Abbesses You will want to photograph this tiny square and its 1900 Art Nouveau metro awning. 5 minutes

9. Another picturesque windmill. Impressionism was born when Renoir painted this windmill. 5 minutes

10. Dalida Statue There is a secret ritual around this bronze statue. We will let you in on it. We are now in the heart of the village. We will also show you "the palace of blizzard" - another hidden gem of Montmartre. 5 minutes

11. This tiny square is as Parisian, as bohemian, as charming as it gets! 5 minutes

12. For our finale, we climb up the dome. For stunning, breath-taking views of Paris. 20 minutes

13. Basilique du Sacre-Coeur de Montmartre Time to learn about the history of this famous church. And why the locals hate it so much, when the rest of the world love it 30 minutes

14. Here comes Montmartre's famous artist square! You do not want to miss that. Have you had your portrait drawn, by a real artist? Here is your unique chance! 10 minutes

Access to Sacre Coeur rooftop is 300 steps. You must not be afraid of heights, or a climb. If you don't want to go, we'll treat you to Montmartre's famous cream puffs instead.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.

Loved every minute

Our walk started off rather rainy, but the weather cleared and I think the entire group loved our information packed walk. So many great things to see and hear about, I learned a lot about Montmartre, its history, residents and water fountains. Leonie is very passionate about her district and it shows. I can’t say enough good things about the experience - if you’re going to Paris, take a few hours to explore and learn from her! You will not regret it!
