Overview

Explore the medieval district of Alfama and visit the São Jorge Castle with skip-the line tickets. During this tour, designed specifically for kids and families you will dive into the medieval part of Lisbon and explore its colorful architecture, rich history and vibrant culture. You will fall in love with its picturesque buildings, cobblestone narrow streets and panoramic squares with the street musicians playing Fado music and then enjoy a guided visit to the São Jorge Castle – one of the most emblematic sites of the city. Your kid-friendly guide will engage both children and parents with entertaining commentary and fun activities such as trivia and treasure hunt as you discover the must-see sites like the José Saramago Foundation, the Lisbon Cathedral, the Church of Santo Antonio, also known as Saint Anthony of Padua and many more.

1. Fundacao Jose Saramago The José Saramago Foundation is a cultural private institution located in the Casa dos Bicos.

2. Lisbon Cathedral Lisbon Cathedral is a Romanesque church built in 1150 on the remains of a Moorish mosque on the orders of King Dom Alfonso Henriques. It represents a perfect example of the Lisbon’s medieval architecture with a mix of different architectural styles, including Baroque and Gothic ones.

3. Church of Santo Antonio is a magnificent baroque church dedicated to Saint Anthony, the patron of Portugal.

4. São Jorge Castle is one of Lisbon's most symbolic landmarks. It was built in the 11th century by the Moors as a fortress to defend the city. 2 hours

We had a great time with our 6ys daughter and we highly recommend this tour! We really felt home in Lisbon. Our daughter was happy to interact with Stephanie and engaged and we could learn from Lisbon in a relaxed way.
