Overview

Serra da Lousã is known for its “magic villages” of schist but it is not just its stone houses that are magical. In this walk of about 18 km and 900 m of positive difference, we will take you to discover its forests of oak, chestnut and pine trees, always accompanied by water courses and waterfalls. Along this walk we will visit several schist villages where we will take you to imagine what it would be like to live in this summer refuge for shepherds and farmers. Come with us on this adventure, the nature of Serra da Lousã awaits you.

We make the transfer anywhere in the region of Coimbra and Lousã. Transfer time depends on distance to start point.

What To Expect

1. One of the possible departure locations, we pick up your accommodation.

4. Aldeia do Talasnal One of the most famous schist villages in Portugal, here you will have the opportunity to replenish your energy with small snacks. 20 minutes

7. Aldeia Do Candal A village where we can see the evolution of rural life in Portugal. Lunch stop 1 hour

8. Schist Village transformed into a retreat for artists where we can find art around every corner 30 minutes
