Descend into the cover of darkness in the iconic city of Austin, TX with a nationally acclaimed storyteller. Your expert guide will keep your small group scared and entertained during this 90-minute walking tour with historical tales of murder, mystery and of course, ghosts. In addition, you will explore the little known nooks and crannies of Austin and visit popular attractions like the Driskill Hotel.

Meeting points

Tours depart from the historic (and haunted), Speakeasy tavern. You can wait inside near the front windows for your guide. Or, we will meet you out front next to our Ghost Walk Austin sign. *Arrive about 15 minutes prior to departure to grab a drink or a soda before our tour!

The Driskill

You will explore the little known nooks and crannies of Austin and visit popular attractions like the Driskill Hotel.
Congress Avenue (Pass By)

All tours stroll this iconic Austin boulevard, rich in history and ghost stories. Not to mention, guests will get a killer view of the Texas Capitol!
Paramount Theatre (Pass By)

Like most theatres in the south, the Paramount Theatre has loads of history and ghost stories. Specifically, the Paramount Theatre provides guests a glimpse of one of the most famous ghost photographs in America.
6th Street (Pass By)

No Austin tour would be complete without a glimpse of "Dirty Sixth." This must see attraction in Austin provides dozens of opportunities for eats, drinks, and live music, of course, great ghost stories!
Speakeasy

Originally the Southwest Telephone and Telegraph Co. (1886), this iconic tavern stands as one of the most haunted taverns in all of America. Walking Tours of Austin is the only tour company that has exclusive access to tour the inside of the interior of the building. Guests will love this stop! Come early and grab a drink before the tour. The Speakeasy is the perfect place to begin and end a ghost tour.

The tour was great and Will is an excellent tour guide and story teller. Very knowledgeable about the history and multiple hauntings across Austin. He was very entertaining and would answer any questions the group had. Very interactive. Would recommend for people who enjoy history, ghosts, and the paranormal.
