Overview

The day begins with a visit to the traditional pineapple greenhouses, biological culture developed in glasshouses, where in the end you will taste its famous artisan liquor. The trip continues towards the Seven Cities with a stop at the Vista da Rei viewpoint from where you can have a breathtaking view of the Seven Cities crater and its beautiful Blue and Green lagoons. You begin the descent to the interior of the crater, where you will marvel at the lagoon of Santiago, a stop that precedes the arrival to the picturesque parish of the Sete Cidades, where you can visit its center. Return to Ponta Delgada by Pico do Carvão, a privileged place to observe the beautiful green landscape of the narrowest part of the Island and its coasts.

Wonderful overall view of the island. The rain did not dampen our tour. Adequate stops for photos. Our guide was very knowledgeable He made sure he gave us all a wonderful experience. The only con is I wish we could have stayed longer.

Big Blue Adventures did a wonderful job showing my family and I the sights on Sao Miguel. Manuel was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and entertaining. There were many beautiful stops. We had a wonderful time! Highly recommend.

A pineapple plantation and lovely views

The visit to the pineapple plantation was very nice and interesting. Then we went to see the blue and green lagoon, and the hell’s window, the kings view... Lots to see, beautiful panoramas, local flora. My guide, André, made it very funny with lots of anecdotes, legends and stories.
