Overview

You can enjoy a guided sightseeing tour only with your family and friends. This is a tour of Hakone using public transportation. Tours include ropeway ride, Owakudani, Hakone Shrine, Open Air Museum, and Lake Ashi with a cruise on the Hakone pirate ship replica. On sunny days, you can see Mt. Fuji from Lake ashi. You can also experience a soaking foot bath called Ashiyu hot springs that heals tired feet after walking. Starting from Hakone Yumoto station, the tour ends at Hakone Yumoto station. The ticket gate located on the second floor of the Odakyu Line Hakone Yumoto Station. There is a store called Odakyu Travel and a ticket vending machine in the aisle in front of the ticket gate.

  • Hakone Shrine / Kuzuryu Shrine Singu

    Founded in 757, it is said to be the Hakone Sansho Gongen in the past, and has collected many faiths as a sacred place for mountain faith. It is believed as a god of fortune, such as traffic safety, desire fulfillment, and good luck. The approach that the cedar lined trees, which are over 800 years old, continue is a very sacred atmosphere.

  • Lake Ashinoko

    Ashinoko lake is formed when debris avalanche deposits blocked the Hakone River after one of volcanos in Hakone erupted about 3000 years ago. If you want to enjoy scenery from the lake, it’s a good idea to take a cabin cruiser which is in service from four ports of the lake.

  • Owaku-dani Valley

    Owakudani was created some 3000 years ago during the last eruption of Mt. Hakone. White smoke and smell of Sulphur drift around the stone valley and you can feel the volcanic activity.

  • The Hakone Open-Air Museum

    The art works are varied and interesting (by both japanese and western artists), the view is amazing and the curation is perfect. The combination of nature and art at it’s best! There is also a foot bath where you can soak your legs in hot water.
