Itinerary

These classes are designed for beginner and first time surfers and will focus on surfing rules and etiquette and wave riding fundamentals. Classes last 2 hours with a maximum group size of 6 to ensure students receive the personal attention they need to develop their surfing skills. Students will learn basic surfing fundamentals, as well as ocean awareness, water safety, wave riding skills, and surf etiquette. We guarantee you will be surfing in one easy lesson your next lesson is free. Minimum Age 5 years and up. Ages 5-8 years old must be accompanied by an adult in the water.

This activity was super fun and the entire family was able to surf on beginner waves. They teach technique before you go out and you feel super safe.

I had a surf lesson with Maui Surfer Girls and my surf coach was Jedi. I can't say enough wonderful things about him. The most important thing he emphasized was to have fun and enjoy being out in the ocean, But he also was there to help me and give me all sorts of instructional tips. I took a private lesson and well worth it as he helped me paddle out which takes a lot of energy and i am 79 year old female beginner, There wasn't much surf that day but he waited for the right waves and for us to be away from the others taking lessons so no one was in my way. He also told me lots of stories about Hawaii, the islands, traditions, the meaning of Hawaiian words. We laughed, I surfed, I fell off a lot but I had a great time. I would highly recommend him and Maui Surfer Girls surf school. They also have group lessons and surf camps.

Must try if you want to learn to surf!

I took my daughter for our first surfing lesson and we had an absolute blast. Everyone we worked with was polite and went out of their way to make sure we had a good experience! Both of us were surfing waves shortly after entering the water. We will be returning to rent boards in the future and I recommend Mike and crew to anyone interested in surfing.

What a great experience. My teen wanted to take a surf lesson while visiting Maui, and this proved to be so fun for him. The whole team was great, very nice and helpful. Loved having a photographer out in the water capturing the photos that I couldn't get from the beach.
