Overview

Join out tour guides and enjoy the best of Bizkaia region. First of all we will make the hike to the hermitage of San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, 241 steps of rock, sea and wind that will take us to enjoy spectacular views. After returning to the starting point and taking a well-deserved rest, we will go to the charming fishing village of Mundaka, on the west bank of the Urdaibai River estuary, where we can see how the modernity of surfers mixes with the tradition of fishermen. in a villa with a unique appeal. Finally we're going to take a deep dive into the heart of Basque history by visiting the legendary Gernika tree and the tragic bombing of the village during the Spanish civil war. Picasso´s Gernika portrayal will be visited along the way.

We really enjoyed this tour, from beginning to end. Our guide Jose was super organized and he was able to keep times, without rushing us, teaching us some bask, and letting us have a good time. Our tour was a bilingual tour, and both the tours in Spanish and in English were very balanced. Doing this tour, plus the tour to Zumaia covered our "wanna see the Game of Thrones places" expectations, and more! Because we could also be in Gernika and in Mundaka. In our tour we took some extra time to see "Parque de los Pueblos de Europa", and I would recommend to include this on every tour, I really liked it.
