Wonderful Tour!!

In researching Takayama before my travels to Japan, I came across ā€œSnow Monkey Resortsā€ website and was impressed by the site descriptions, photos, and the intention of each tour; and was convinced this was the tour I wanted to go on. I must say, our tour guided by Hemi Witehira, did not disappoint! Hemi was excellent! He had a good historical knowledge of the temples and festival floats and its traditions, gave a great overview of the city and its special crafts, shared his area background, encouraged us to try the Hida beef and grilled Gohei-mochiā€¦so delicious, understood the importance of experiential travel and arranged with local artisans for us to try out sake tasting, wood carving, bamboo lamp making, and crafting a Sarubobo doll, he was very fun and personable and gave nice recommendations on where to eat. We came away from the tour with a deeper understanding of Takayamaā€™s rich tradition
