I did a full day ride. My guide was excellent, and the machines were great. This is a family run operation, not part of a chain or resort. It’s a gritty little shack on the edge of town, in a good way. They gave me a great Baja riding experience. Their dogs and cat are very friendly.
Equipment: they provide full protective gear: gloves, pants, jersey, boots, knee pads, elbow pads, chest protector, dust mask, helmet, and goggles. They gave me a backpack for my phone and wallet and some water bottles. It is proper dirt bike safety gear.
Machines: they have a fleet of recent year CRF450Xs. They all had new tires and are well maintained. Everything worked well on the bike.
Terrain: We rode on a mix of local roads and a couple of lesser-traveled trails. If you are an experienced rider, you might not be challenged. But the scenery is amazing and you will still have fun. On some of the roads we saw nobody for an hour, only an occasional cow. There were some sand sections that were challenging, and a few rocky hills.
I am an experienced rider, and I for sure wanted to go faster than we were going. But we were so far from civilization for so long that I was happy to keep the guide’s pace and get home safely.
If you ride dirt bikes and you are in Los Cabos, you should spend a day here.
