Overview

Cabo Pulmo is the best snorkeling spots in Los Cabo area. At least 226 fish species live in the park, and it is home to the only living hard coral reef in the Sea of Cortez. The reefs of Cabo Pulmo have long been considered a treasure of the Baja California península. The reef has even become a refuge for at least one endangered species: the large and valuable gulf grouper. The waters of Cabo Pulmo are the clearest in the Cabo San Lucas area, with visibility sometimes exceeding 100 feet between June and December. The marine preserve is about a 2 hour drive from Cabo San Lucas, so you'll have to make sure you have time before booking this unique snorkeling tour.

Great snorkeling tour. Check-in process was good; guide was great; showers and bathroom nearby. They are in an interesting little village of dive shops and a few restaurants. One big negative, not the tour's fault, is the condition of the road for the last 10 miles. We would never take our dumpy rent-a-car over that road again. You need a mid-to-high clearance vehicle. As it was we put some minor damage on it which may result in a penalty on returning it.

our guides were excellent funny and informative. We were able to see whales up close, sea rays jump out of the water and we snorkeled with the sea lions. We also got to snorkel over the reefs. The fish were unbelievable like finding nemo in real life. lol. The meal afterwards was greatly appreciated probably the best we had all week.

A bunch of us were packed into a Chevy Tahoe, and by hour 1.5 from San Jose I was beginning to have second thoughts. I'm so glad we went! Take the Eco tour near the boat ramp. They did a great job of boating us to fabulous snorkeling sites. The visibility was 50 feet and clear as a bell. I have dived and snorkeled may places, and will remember this for the pristine water and coral beds.
