Overview

Escape the city for a day and immerse yourself in the natural splendor of the Japan Alps. Tour a vibrant flower park, a charming mountain farm, and the iconic Kamikochi region of the Chubu Sangaku National Park. Hike the well-maintained trails to Kappa-bashi—as your guide points out unique flora and fauna along the way—and capture stunning views of the surrounding mountains. This full-day tour from Nagoya allows you to journey to the Japan Alps and experience its natural beauty to the fullest as you are led by an experienced, English-speaking guide.

Meeting Point

The meetup point is at the base of the SILVER clock tower outside of the Shinkansen gates. If you are arriving via a JR line, please look for signs directing you towards the Taiko-Dori Gate. The silver clock is located inside the station just before the Taiko-Dori exit.

This activity ends back at the meeting point.

What To Expect

1. Begin your journey towards your first destination: Hirugano Plataeu. We will arrive at the flower park and farm high in the Hida Highlands. Your guide will provide you with a brief overview of the park and all its attractions before you set off on your own. You can use this time as you please to pose for photos amongst the seasonal flowers, feed the farm animals, taste locally made ice cream and other treats, or simply relax while enjoying the sweeping views. 3 hours 30 minutes

2. Kamikochi Meet back up with your tour guide and make your way to the Kamikochi. Your guide will lead you on a trek through the scenic mountain pass of Kamikochi towards Kappa-bashi—stopping to point out unique flora and fauna along the way. Once we reach Kappa-bashi, you will have approximately 1 hour of free time to get some food, shop for souvenirs, or continue trekking and exploring the area on your own. at 16:00 we will board back on the bus and make our way back to Nagoya Station 4 hours 30 minutes
