Overview

Discover the seaside village of Elounda and walk amongst history on the island of Spinalonga. Finishing our touring on this much afflicted place, we head for the small bay of Kolokitha. It’s one of the most beautiful beaches on Crete. It is a remote beach with white sand and deep blue serene water, side by side with old olive groves. There we can swim from the boat. Here you have plenty of time for swimming at the crystal clear waters, tasting the BBQ served on board. The menu includes pork* chop BBQ, greek salad, feta cheese, bread, wine or Fanta and seasonal fruit.(EVERY SUNDAY the dinner is in a tavern we DONT have BBQ on board) After our short respite, we go back to Elounda. Then we move to the picturesque town of Agios Nikolaos, where we have our last stop. We have the chance to enjoy our coffee getting a perfect view of the magnificent lake, do our shopping in the traditional local shops and relax for a while before we hit the road for our going back.

Great Trip - Highly Recommend

I read a lot of bad reviews for this excursion but I booked anyway as I really wanted to see Spinalonga. Contrary to previous reviews we had an excellent trip. We were collected efficiently, clear instructions were sent the day before. The tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable and was able to speak both English and German/Dutch? The trip to the Olive Factory was a lovely start to the day, as well as the stop to Agios Nikolaos, there was plenty of time to grab a bite to eat and enjoy the wonderful views and do some shopping. The trip to Spinalonga was well organised we had our own private boat for our group. The Island itself is just as amazing as expected. We had plenty of time to have a wander and explore. The last part of the trip was to relax for a further couple of hours on the beach in Plaka, this was great if you're hungry or would like a swim, however there wasn't much else to do, so we were twiddling our thumbs for quite a while and were ready to head back to our hotel. Cons of the trip - we would have preferred for the boat trip and entrance fee to Spinalonga to be included in the cost, with tickets pre-purchased. Although we were fortunate there was not a big queue I can see this being an issue in high season which then takes away the time to explore Spinalonga Island. They will also only accept cash for the additional charges.

It was a lovely excursion! The tour guides were extremely friendly and helpful! The coach was a nice size and had much needed air-con on it! Everything ran smoothly from pickup time to drop off! Thank you for a lovely experience! Also, the BBQ was AMAZING!! Absolutely delicious!!! ☺️

Great fun filled and informative day out

A fantastic day in Crete! visited the beautiful villages of Agios Nikolaos and the spectacular Elounda Bay are we had a swim on one of the islands. Then took a boat to the fascinating Island of Spinalonga to see and learn about many centuries of Byzantine, Venetian and Ottoman history on the island as a leper colony. Felt the trip could have been shorter if there weren't so many pick-ups on the way, but I suppose they can't do it any other way. Also we didn't have a guide for the first hour or so, just picking people up but it turned out well. Overall a 4.5* rating.
