    CretΑquarium is an expert in presenting the species and ecosystems of the Mediterranean, a sea of unique biodiversity that gave birth to ancient civilizations and welcomes millions of visitors to its shores every year from all over the world. Offering 60 tanks of different sizes, CretΑquarium is home to 2,000 sea animals representing 200 different species found in the Mediterranean basin. Together with the appropriate scenery, it successfully represents the Cretan and Mediterranean sea beds. Additionally, CretAquarium designs and implements educational programs and other innovative services, treats injured animals, and is constantly enriched with new marine species. The expertise possessed by the aquarium on the presentation of the Mediterranean species and ecosystems is backed up by the long experience of the center in Mediterranean marine research. Each visitor has the opportunity to see and be charmed by the sea inhabitants of the Mediterranean, learn, and contribute towards the ecosystem's sustainable future. At CretAquarium, the attractions become knowledge and experiences raise questions.

I throughly enjoyed all 60 viewing live experience of the aquarium. There's much to see plus coral. Plenty of seating areas on the ledges of the huge window views and other seating areas to ponder and appreciate them. Have opportunities to take photos without a flash. Take the time to sit by the the jelly fish and do a selfie and video. The place is spacious and clean. You can show up and visit rather than online. Shops to purchase goodies. They have a lovely restaurant called Cibus Greek Cuisine by Siganos on the premises. Amazing food and great custom.

What an amazing place!! Nearly cried a few times at seeing such remarkable creatures, it was the turtle that got me! Magnificent! Very informative place, excellent was of getting some shade for a few hours. Fantastic variety of sealife! Very relaxing music all the way around (Enya) , was such a calming place.

Good museum for kids

Very good museum for families with kids (different age). Saturday was very crowded. Interesting and beautiful fish, sharks, jellyfish. Visited twice. Recommend.

Good experience for whole family

It was a fun experience for the whole family. The tanks were big and clean. Explanation boards were good and some interactive. We saw a lot off different spicies and learn some new things.

Nice place to visit with kids and adults too

We went to aquarium with a big group of family. Tikcets were cheap. A lot of seeing! Sharks and many different fishs. Nkce place for kids too. Air conditioning was great because outside was over +34 degrees! A small cafeteria after that.
