Discover the fascinating history, myths and legends of Bruges on an evening walking tour with an expert local guide. Get off the beaten track to learn about the history and mystery of Bruges and discover a side of the city most tourists never get to see.     We take you on a tour of the lesser known parts of Bruges, the side tourists never get to see. We'll tell you old tales, legends and ghost stories that are as old as the city itself, and we'll make the fascinating history of Bruges come to life!

    Here we'll tell you the history of the beautiful Jan van Eyck square, the old harbour of medieval Bruges!

    On this square, where all the Italian trading houses used to be located, you can see one of the first stock exchange markets of the world, dating back to the 13th century

The dark heart of Bruges!

If you ever wanted to dig deep into the seamy underbelly of a quaint medieval city this is your tour! Serial killings, unrequited love, murder, commerce, child labor and chamber pots! Humor, intrigue, desperation and innovation. Can go to two + hours with questions. Bring a jacket and wear comfortable walking shoes on the slight inclined and uneven cobblestones. We loved Louie!

We spontanuously joined the evening tour with Martin and it was very interesting and entertaining. He gave us a good overview about the history of Bruges and added some legendary story's.

Best activity in Brugge

Despite the name of this tour it is still primarily a history tour with a few legends and stories mentioned. Having been to 10+ walking tours, this is definitely the best tour I have been on. Martin was incredible and extremely well spoken and informative. This was my favourite activity in Brugge and a MUST DO for anyone visiting.
