This unique tour offers an authentic experience in the Douro Valley, guided by a local wine producer, visiting exclusive locations including their own family quinta, and showcasing the stunning landscapes along the douro river and tasting exceptional wines of the region. If you are coming from Porto you can take the train from SĂŁo Bento Station (IR869) that arrives in ermida station, and we will pick up at the train station. In the end of the tour we can leave you in Peso da RĂ©gua train station or Ermida train station where you can take a train back to Porto.

  • Peso Da Regua (Pass By)

    We will start by picking you up from your accommodation or if you are coming by train from porto, we will pick up at the train stations in the Peso da RĂ©gua or Ermida. From there, we'll head straight to my family Quinta in Barqueiros, where you will have the opportunity to taste some of the finest wines produced in the region.

  • Mesao Frio

    At the quinta, we'll take a step back in time to our 150-year-old, small, and traditional winery. My family's small winery is the perfect setting for an intimate wine tasting experience. We produce table red, white, and rose wines, as well as some incredible port wines. With only 2 hectares of land, every bottle we produce is made with love and care using traditional methods.

  • Baiao

    We'll then head to the Vinho Verde region for another wine tasting experience. This time, we'll visit Vinho Verde Family Quinta where you'll get to taste 4 different Vinho Verde wines. You won't want to miss out on this unique opportunity to taste some of the most flavorful wines in the world.

  • Peso Da Regua

    But before the day comes to an end, we'll embark on a captivating journey to Peso da RĂ©gua, where you'll be mesmerized by the breathtaking landscapes of the Douro River and the sprawling vineyards. This scenic excursion will add an extra touch of beauty and serenity to your unforgettable day in the Douro Valley.

Amazing personal tour!

Vasco was an amazing tour guide. This was a great, very personal tour where we got to see his family's Quinta, see how they make their wine, and meet the family dog Cacao. We loved the nearby winery where's we did an amazing tasting before heading back to our train stop. We can't wait to head back in 6 years to try the orange port.

Lovely intimate wine tour

Vasco was a gracious host and chose a beautiful 18th century winery for out first tasting. The estate was beautiful and the wines superb. There was a delicious spread of foods to pair with the wines. We then tasted at his family’s Quinta for white wine, red wine and different ports. I would highly recommend this tour if you are looking for an intimate experience.

We booked this tour because it was a more intimate wine experience than most listed. I liked the fact that it t included a tasting from Vasco’s own family winery. We had a wonderful experience tasting at another of his favorite Quintas and his own winery. The food was fabulous and paired well with the wines. Vasco was a gracious tour guide. We would highly recommend this tour!!

Vasco is a terrific ambassador of the Douro Valley. He picked us up from the train and gave us a wonderful tour. The views are marvelous from every point, and he gave us a patient, thoughtful explanation of the valley and the villages. At the first winery, we got a great explanation of the winemaking process from the owner who was very generous with his time. The second winery was in a beautiful setting and included an tasty cheeseboard.
