  • The Douro Valley (Pass By)

    After meeting with your tour guide, leave from Porto in a comfortable climatized vehicle and prepare for wonderfull day at the beautifull Douro Valley!

  • Lamego

    Having arrived to the Douro Valley and with a quick pass by the centuries old city of Lamego, we will be visiting a small family owned vineyard. Here we will have a commented wine tasting on a variety of their wines and also enjoy some wonderfull views of the terraced hills that make the Douro Valley such an unique place.

  • Douro River (Pass By)

    After the visit to the first winery, enjoy a scenic drive through the world famous National Road 222, to the heart of the Douro Valley!

  • Folgosa

    It´s time to visit one of the most prestigious wineries of the region, where we will tour ther enturies old estate and try a selection of their world famous Ports. Enjoy their wines, the views and the great ambiance that the place provides!

  • Pinhao (Pass By)

    It´s time to go for lunch now, and as we head up the hills, passing to the quaint town of Pinhão, we will have the opportunity to have some fantastic views from up the mountains, to observe the expanse of the Douro Valley Region, a true "Geological Poem"

  • Sabrosa

    Having arrived in Sabrosa we will stop at another family owned winery, where we will have a traditional portuguese lunch complete with 4 courses, entrance, salad, main dish and dessert, all paired with their delicious Douro red and white wine. For the grande finale we will visit their cellar where we will try some of their fantastic ports. After a full day of exploration and discovery, relax and enjoy your journey back to Porto!

  • This tour may be done in two languages. We try to avoid it, but sometimes we have no other solution.
  • For lunch we provide meat, fish and vegan option. (We can also accomodate any dietary restriction with prior notification)
  • Private option it's done in a private vehicle only with your private guide. The vineyards and rest of the locations are shared with other participants.
  • Reschedulings with less than 24 hours before the start of the tour will be charged a 30% fee (subject to availability);
  • Parents should bring the baby car seat ajusted to infant's age (1 to 3 years old). We only have seats available after 4 years old.
  • We do not recommend that you book or schedule different activities at the end of the tour. Although the tour may last 9/10 hours, the duration may vary depending on traffic conditions and other factors.
  • Please be aware that the activities which we visit, such as vineyards, restaurants, etc, are subject to 3rd party availability and other groups/participants may be with the your group during the experience.
  • Schedules and Itinerary may change without prior notice.
  • The pick-up service is only available for the ones that choose the option "Group Tour - Pick Up" and "Private Tour".
  • Please make sure that you have breakfast. Keep in mind that we probably will only stop at the first activity. We may not have time to make a pit stop before arriving to the first vineyard.
  • On the private option infants or childrens must be booked as an individual adult/place. Prices shown are per group/vehicle.

Partner and I saddled up with our guide Joao on a relaxing and delicious trip into the Douro Valley wine region where we got to marvel at the beauty of the landscapes while reaping the benefits of its most famous fruit. You will eat and drink your fill on this journey while being provided with multiple opportunities to claim "souvenirs" to enjoy back home, or even in your hotel room. And while there are plenty of opportunities to support the wineries, you're under no obligation or pressure to do so. Joao was laid back, funny and more than happy to answer any questions or regale us with his own life experiences with both Port and myriad other Portuguese wines that he shared with family and friends over the years, helping to color in the role that the drink possesses within the culture. A trip absolutely worth your time and money.

Vito was amazing! Great information! Great energy! Maybe since not everyone likes to hear him talk every time we are in the car, he could tell those people to sit in the back, and the ones that want to hear it could go near him. I loved his explanation!
