Overview

See Denali from all sides during your flight - North, South, East & West. Soar over Kahiltna Pass after seeing the Climber’s Base Camp at the 7,200 foot level of the Kahiltna Glacier. Discover McKinley’s famous West Buttress Climbing Route. Cross over the divide of the Alaska Range into a different world filled with alpine tundra and fewer glaciers. View the immense Wickersham Wall - approximately 14,000 feet of continuous rise of rock and ice. You will talk about this tour of Denali and Denali National Park forever!

Directions: K2 Aviation is located in the town of Talkeetna at the Talkeetna State Airport. We are about 3 hours north of Anchorage and about 4 hours south of Denali National Park. The Talkeetna exit is located at mile marker 98 on the Parks Highway (Alaska Route 3).

Explore the wonders of Denali! Please check in for your flight 30 minutes before scheduled departure time or schedule a complimentary transfer from your local hotel, inn, B&B, or rail depot. Before taking flight, take part in a short safety briefing. You’ll then be off on your 1.5 hour scenic flight of Denali or 2 hour flight and glacier landing.

Denali National Park and Preserve

View the vertical rise of Denali starting at its base of around 2000 feet to over 20,320 feet. Explore the most-climbed, western face of Denali and an additional massive glacier system, the Kahiltna. Then fly East and take in the flowing river of the Ruth Glacier, the renowned Sheldon Amphitheater (glacier landings often done here), the Great Gorge with its mile-high granite walls - the world's deepest, and the intense blue melt water pools that dot the glaciers. With a guaranteed window seat, you can sit back and relax as you enjoy the incredible views. A two-way headset is provided so you can communicate with your expert pilot as he/she shares incredible commentary along the way.

Weather woes

Due to weather we were given the option of cancelling with full refund or taking a lesser flight. We opted to cancel without a problem and we are waiting for the 100% refund.

Great tour

Highly recommend. Although we didn’t get to fly to Denali due to weather the Flying tour over the Talkeetna was amazing. The views were breathtaking. Our pilot did a great job even though there was a lot of turbulence. Would fly with K2 Aviation again.

Wow! There aren’t words for the views you get of Denali on this flight We were blessed to have a perfectly clear day so we had unbelievable views. Well worth your time and money. Pilot was friendly, knowledgeable and concerned with the safety of the plane. We actually had to wait about 30 minutes to leave while he had maintenance checking a part on the plane. I appreciate all safety precautions . Definitely recommend!

Denali flightseeing

One of the top experiences we had while in Alaska. Wow, to see this amazing mountain and the glaciers from the air is breath taking. You just cannot experience the scale the beauty same way from the ground. Would highly recommend over any land tour. Our K2 pilot did a great job. It was a little cloudy the day we flew, but he was able to get us up to a clear area and it was beautiful. Flew so that we all had great views and pointed out the major and interesting features. We did not do a glacier landing, but if you're really interested in that they offer those flights. I'm happy we choose just the flightseeing; feel we had more time in the air and were able to see more of this amazing area.

Top notch, incredible flight and experience overall! A highlight of our Alaskan adventure.

We had the absolute best experience on this adventure! We were so fortunate to have incredible weather, see all of Denali mountain and to land on the glacier. We were both moved by the grandeur and magnificence of the scenery. The pilot was very capable and explained a lot about what we were flying over and seeing along the way. 10 out of 10 experience! We haven't stopped talking about this flight.
