Overview

Join us for a half-day adventure tour exploring the Big Island from summit to sea. We'll take you on a captivating journey through Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, home to the world's most active volcano, Kilauea. You'll travel from the visitor center to Kilauea crater for panoramic views of the smoking caldera and steaming volcanic vents, walk inside iconic Nahuku (Thurston Lava Tube), and enjoy lunch at the historic Kilauea Lodge. Afterward, visit Punaluʻu black sand beach , Ending with seeing the picture-perfect scenery of Rainbow Falls. Please note: This tour is not wheelchair accessible and includes moderate walking, including climbing roughly 15 stairs during the lava tube tour.

Hawaii Volcanoes National Park

Explore Hawaii Volcanoes National Park starting at the visitor center and exhibit hall, followed by views of Kilauea caldera and Kilauea Iki, the steam vents, and sulfur banks. Walk inside the ancient Nahuku (Thurston Lava Tube) followed by lunch at Kilauea Lodge.

Drive through Downtown Hilo, a charming mix of historic architecture, local shops, and lush greenery set against the backdrop of Hilo Bay.
Rainbow Falls

Rainbow Falls is named after the colorful rainbows that appear in the mists of its waters. Signs in the viewing area relate some interesting historical facts about the waterfall, as well as the legend of the “Battle of the Wailuku River”.

This tour (Shaka Braddah Tours) was a huge highlight of our cruise! Our tour guides, Anthony and Desmond, were the best guides we have ever had...they went above and beyond, making sure we were being taken care of. When we were driving, they had multiple crafts, tools, beautiful large shells and historic objects to show us, as well as various interesting photos on an ipad. The tour itself was fantastic! Rainbow falls was gorgeous and the National Volcanoes Park was beyond amazing. The restaurant lunch was perfect. They never rushed us. We are so grateful that Anthony and Desmond were our guides...they are amazing people and a precious asset to your company!
