Overview

Doi inthanon National park also known as the ‘Roof of Thailand’, which is the Highest mountain in Thailand, is part of the Himalayan mountain range, elevation ranges between 800 and 2565 meters. Due to the high altitude, the park has high humidity and cold weather all year round. The average daily temperatures are normally around 10-12 °C. with temperatures reaching zero during winter Today, the summit of Doi Inthanon is a very popular tourist destination for both foreign and Thai tourists, with a peak of 12,000 visitors visiting the summit on New Year's Day. Itinerary

  • Wachirathan Falls

    You will be picked up from your place lobby between 8.00 and 8.30 am. (8.30-9.00 depending on your location). Drive approximately 1.5hr, you will get to the huge waterfall named Wachiritharn waterfall. Enjoy the breathtaking view and walk around here (a 70 meters high thunderous waterfall).

    Have a short break enjoying this waterfall

  • Ban Mae Klang Luang

    At Ban Mae Klang Luang, a Karen hill-tribe village, witness their lifestyle, culture, and traditions. Observe the local women performing traditional clothing weaving. They also grow organic coffee and you will be able to sample and buy Chiangmai's best coffee.

  • Phra Maha Dhatu Naphamethinidon and Naphaphonphumisiri Pagoda

    These twin pagodas were built to honor the 60th birthday of the King and Queen in 1987 and 1992 respectively. One is called Naphamethinidon, meaning "by the strength of the land and air", and the other, Naphaphonphumisiri, meaning "being the strength of the air and the grace of the land". These mirrored buildings are pagodas that have been located at the highest altitude in Thailand. Here admire the huge structures and beauty of the flower garden.

    Visit the Highest spot in Thailand and take a very easy-short nature trail walk enjoying the outstanding view, many kinds of birds, historical sightseeing at Ang Ka nature trail. Then stop at the Hmong hill tribe’s market. You can try and buy some local fruits and treats.

Best tour guide ever (thanks Aom!)

Our tour guide Aom was the best part of the trip! She was so fun and kind and informative. We really appreciate the care she took to make sure we had a great time. We had 10 people in our group with 7 kids so it was a lot of work for her! We loved all the stops and had plenty of time to experience them like we wanted. Our favorite spot was the walk through the forest at the highest point of Thailand. Absolutely stunning.

It was quite good, the tour guide gave us time to explore and explained the history behind each location. She also showed us some things that the other tour guides in the area skipped so that was very much appreciated.

What a fabulous experience which I and my family could easily repeat.Piano(yep) the tour guide made the day with her never ending jokes and permanent smile…with an infectious laugh.From beginning to end it was very well organised.The waterfall,bagodas,hillside village and local market were truly great experiences.If you are going to only do one tour in Chiang Mai do this one.My teenagers loved it….and so did my wife and I.

Joined this tour and had a wonderful day trip. Our driver Mr Odd (baby frog) drive carefully and we got to our destinations on time. Our guide Yoyo was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour. He provided a run down of history and to the things we were going to see and answered any questions we had. Lunch was delicious and plentiful, they kept the food coming and ever so ready to replenish the dishes. Although it was very foggy and drizzly and we didn’t see the tops of the twin pagodas, it was still an enjoyable day especially with a great guide and nice group of travellers. You will get wet from sprays at the Waterfall, so remember to bring a poncho. 100% recommend this tour.
