Overview

Munich is the world capital of beer, which Bavarians consider to be a food (in fact they call it "liquid bread"). Discover with us the history of this indispensable product of Munich gastronomy and how it traveled from homes to monasteries, from breweries to Biergartens. In an exclusive tasting, you will enjoy and learn to distinguish the most representative types of beer in the city: Weiss, Helles, Dunkles and Pilsen. In addition, you will try the typical Bavarian bread, the Bretzel. You will also learn what The Law of Purity (Reinheistgebot) consists of, how yeast was introduced after its discovery in the 19th century, how Oktoberfest and the Spring Festival were born, or what the six great Bavarian brands are... And, finally, we will reveal the secrets of the most famous brewery in the world: Hofbräuhaus. An essential tour for beer lovers and to discover a fundamental part of the culture and history of Bavaria.

    Presentation of the group and the route.

    The guide will introduce the participants to the history of Bavarian beer.

  • Bier- Und Oktoberfest Museum

    The guide will explain the process of brewing Bavarian beer and the different types that exist, and will give some details and curiosities about this "liquid bread". Later, a tasting will take place with at least three different types of typical beer from the region, accompanied by a fantastic "bretzel".

  • Staatliches Hofbrauhaus

    Visit to the mythical Hofbräuhaus brewery, where the different historical episodes of which it has been the scene will be recounted. At the end of the tour, whoever wishes can stay in the place enjoying the Munich afternoon and its beers.
