Join this full-day, small-group tour that combines a visit to Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site and a Third Reich walking tour of Munich. First, visit Dachau, the first Nazi concentration camp in Germany. Tour it with a licensed professional guide, and listen to the stories of how it served for a model of all the other camps that came after it.     From Marienplatz you will explore the city of Munich, your guide will point out locations relating to Adolf Hitler and the Nazi party whilst giving historical context.

    This location is where the decision was taken in 1938, to carry out a pogrom against the Jewish population of Germany.

  • Staatliches Hofbrauhaus

    We walk past this location, where Hitler regularly gave speeches.

    We look at the location of where the beer hall coup of 1923 took place.

  • Konigsplatz

    see where the Munich agreement of 1938 took place. Also, where Nazi ceremonies took place.

Alun was the best .He was very knowledgeable and respectful. He explained and presented a sensitive emotional place perfectly. He answered all our questions and showed the utmost respect to the memorial and material. He was a wonderful guide.

The guide Alun was very informative and knowledgeable about the background history of the tour and answered all the additional questions asked. He new all short cuts and ways to minimise the amount of people congregating in one location.

Our group of 4 adults from the US thoroughly enjoyed our full day tour with Alun. His perspective (being British, but having lived in Germany for nearly 20 years) and personal interest with WWII adds tremendously to the experience. Although he’s presented this material countless times, you feel as if he’s only just discovered the details with his heartfelt passion. We learned more than we expected and left with a deeper understanding of this period in time. Alun’s schedule for the day is very well coordinated- he knows exactly when/where to be for transportation to maximize your time at the memorial site. Don’t loose track of time in the museum- or you will simply not make it to the end before it’s time to rally together again. If you want to focus more on info of the memorial site specifically …. Skip the first 1/2 of the museum which focuses on the greater view of WWII. There is a lot of walking for the full day tour, wear comfortable shoes! We very much appreciated the binder of pictures he presents to add a visual element of the past while walking around Munich. So much history in Munich! We would have had no idea of all the historically significant spots without Alun’s keen eye and information. Lastly, the small group size is fantastic. I highly, highly recommend this tour. We feel fortunate to have experienced this with Alun as our guide. He is a wealth of knowledge!!!

Alun was insightful and incredibly sensitive to the subject matter. He answered all of our questions on the tour in a very thoughtful manner. Alun was organized and clear about how we would take the tour including traveling arrangements and time in the camp.
