My wife and I had an amazing time on this Bavarian beer and food tour! The range of beers we got to try was really interesting, and the detailed explanation of the brewing process at the beer museum was a great touch. It gave us a whole new appreciation for how much history and craftsmanship go into every pint.
Our guide, Dietmar, was fantastic—extremely knowledgeable not just about beer but also about the history of Munich itself. His explanations were detailed yet engaging, and he spoke excellent English, making it easy to follow along. He was also very friendly and took the time to chat one-on-one, which made the experience even better.
The beers were excellent, with the lagers being our personal favorite—refreshing even in the cold weather! Pairing them with the pork sausages was a great combination. We also learned some fun facts, like how beer played a role in the invention of refrigeration and just how deeply it’s embedded in German culture. Of course, learning to cheers properly—Prost!—was a highlight.
One of the best parts of the tour was being able to enjoy a beer while walking around in public, even on the train—something that would definitely not fly where we’re from! It made for a unique and enjoyable experience.
