Overview

Imagine flying over the Teotihuacán valley at more than 450 meters high and being able to see the pyramids of Teotihuacán, one of the most important cultures in all of Mesoamerica. I'll tell you a little more... First we will welcome you with a coffee and cookies. We will enter the take-off area where you will be able to see the entire inflation process of a hot air balloon. Your flight will begin over the beautiful valley of Teotihuacán and upon landing we will make a traditional toast. Afterwards we will have breakfast at La Cueva Restaurant, where you can admire the magic of nature, that is, we will be underground having breakfast in a natural cave. We will move to a culture space where you can learn about the most important resources of the place such as obsidian, you will learn pigmentation techniques and we will end with a tasting of local drinks.

We are located 5 minutes from the Pemex Piramides service gas station. One day before your reservation we will send you a message sharing the exact location via Google maps and the time you should arrive

Pickup Details

Remember that if you booked the option without transportation, we will share the location of our balloon port with you a day before so you can arrive on your own. And if you booked with transportation, we will go directly for you to your hotel or Airbnb in Mexico City. The pick-ups start from 4:50 am to 5:20 am in Mexico City to arrive in Teotihuacán at 6:10 am on the first flight schedule. For second schedule, the schedule start from 6:20 to 6:40 am in Mexico City to arrive in Teotihuacán at 7:40 am. NOTE: Remember that we are subject to availability, always prioritizing that your experience is on the first schedule. If there is high demand, you will be notified that your flight will be on the second schedule.

What To Expect

1. Mexico City 4:40 am - 5:20 am - We will pick you up at your hotel in Mexico City and transfer to the balloon port in Teotihuacán. 50 minutes

2. Nuevo Cielo / Vuelo en globo aerostatico por Teotihuacan. 6:20am -Then we will move to the take-off area where you can see the balloon inflation process, we will give you time to take photos and videos. 6:20 am - Your magical experience of flying in a balloon over the Teotihuacán Valley will begin. The duration of the flight is 40 to 60 minutes depending on weather conditions. 7:20 am - Upon landing we will make a toast that is tradition when flying in a balloon and we will give you a flight certificate as a souvenir. 1 hour 30 minutes

3. 8:30am - We will go to have breakfast at one of the most impressive restaurants in the Teotihuacán Valley, you will be inside a natural cave with a spectacular view. An experience of gods. 1 hour

4. 9:45am - We will visit a cultural space in which they will give us an explanation about the culture of Teotihuacán, maguey, obsidian and tastings of artisanal liquors made in the region. 10:30 am - If you want to go to the archaeological zone, we give you up to 2 hours so you can explore them. (Entry to archaeological zone NOT INCLUDED). If you prefer return to Mexico City we could return 30 minutes

5. Piramides de Teotihuacan 10:30 am - we give you the option of entering the archaeological zone of Teotihuacán 1 hour

6. Mexico City 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm we will be arriving at your hotel in Mexico City. CONSIDERATIONS: - Times are approximate and may change depending on traffic, weather and logistics of the day. -If you want to finish the experience before the last stop, you must return by yourself to Mexico City. Since it is a collective or shared tour. -You should know that the balloon flight depends on weather conditions, therefore the direction will depend on the wind, so we cannot guarantee flying over the pyramids. However, 90% of the days we fly over them. -Guided tour in the archaeological zone of Teotihuacán is not included. - La Cueva restaurant has specific opening hours (8:30 am) so we could wait up to 40 minutes for its opening. 1 hour

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.

Morning balloon ride to Teotihuacan pyramids!

The is a MUST do while visiting Mexico City. Perfectly safe and fun for young children. Ours are 7 & 8 y/o and loved it. You will get the most picturesque view of Teotihuacan and the air balloons in the background. They played music during the ride too, so it wasn’t awkwardly quiet. There is a toast at the end of the ride and when you return to HQ you will have the option to purchase videos/photos. We purchased family photos for our Christmas card! :)

A beautiful experience! From start to finish! What a treat to see the balloons blown up, to hop into that basket, and takeoff up into the air, floating with the wind. Magical! And the entire staff was lovely. Thank you especially to Luna, our guide, Alex our Captain, and Mario our driver!

This experience was absolutely magical!!! Alex was our Captain and he gave us the best experience and view! The winds cooperated and took us right over the pyramids! Do NOT pass this adventure up! Everyone on the staff is so friendly and accommodating!!!
