Overview

Our groups are small so you will have a very personalized experience, everybody gets to participate in the cozyness of local home. You will be cooking very traditional and local family recipes and using local and fresh ingredients. We will surprise you with ingredients that are native to Mexico and you will discover how to use them. We promise that you will have one of the best meals of your trip.

Depending where you are staying you can get by taxi or public transportation like the bus. From the bus stop you have to walk only 2 blocks. The building is located right beside a trayler park. The name of the building is Isurus

Itinerary

When you get to the class we will share with you some context and history of the ingredients and dishes we are about to use and cook, showing you all the fresh ingredients, then we will start with all the preparation and cook from 3 to 4 dishes and soft drinks. When we finish cooking we will eat what we cook. You will get digital recipes by email. We change the menu according to local and fresh ingredients available, so is not always the same food.

The class was a great combination of culture and food and the instructor was very fun and interesting. The food was delicious and easy to learn! We had a couple of things that we’d never eaten before.

Paola was amazing! She gave us some history of Mazatlan and the food was simply amazing. We loved the class, learned how to cook some new food that was delicious. We would highly recommend taking one of her classes while in Mazatlan. We will definitely be signing up for another class next time year. Thank you for a wonderful time.

A great way to learn a little about Mazatlan cuisine

This was a great cooking class full of local Mexican cuisine dishes, we made shimp tacos with tortillas made from scratch, a steak and potatoe dish i can't remember the name of, and a sweet corn tamale for dessert. I would recommend this class from beginner to advanced.

This class was so much fun! Paola is very knowledgeable about Mexican cuisine and gladly answered our naive American questions. I was excited to learn how to make corn tortillas, how to use dried chiles, and the different possibilities for tacos, vegetarian and otherwise. And they were delicious! I highly recommend this class as a way to learn about Mexico and Mazatlán.
