Half Day Tour in our World Heritage Town by UNESCO! Come explore Angra do Heroísmo, a town full of history and adventures. From the Spanish attacking us to rebuilding the town from the ashes created by a earthquake. We will visit the most interesting spots on the town and go through: Pico da Memória - Amazing view from the top of our town Jardim Duque da Terceira - The town's amazing Garden Palácio dos Capitães Generais - The Island Palace Igreja da Sé - The town's Historical Cathedral Praça Velha - The town's historical Square Câmara Municipal de Angra do Heroísmo - The town's City Hall Angra's Theatre Palácio Bettencourt - Beautiful Library (oustside) Bordados - Typical Embroidery

Meeting Point

Praça Velha is the Town's Square and the meeting point to all walks around the city!

End Point

This activity ends back at the meeting point.

1. Igreja Da Misericordia The old Hospital, now a church.

2. Praca Velha The Town's City Hall

3. Rua da Se The Island Cathedral 20 minutes

4. Palacio dos Capitaes Generais The old City Hall and the hearquarters for the Azores administration 30 minutes

5. The towns theatre! 10 minutes

6. The towns Garden 20 minutes

7. Camara Municipal de Angra do Heroismo Angra do Heroismo historic city hall. 30 minutes

8. Igreja Da Misericordia The old hospital.

9. The town's Cathedral 15 minutes

Informative & Fun Angra walking tour

Gui was knowledgeable and willing to go the extra mile! You could tell he was well connected in the community and knew the history of the Island as well! Great tour!

This tour was an excellent introduction for our first visit to Terceira and Angra. Good balance of history, present culture, and how families live. Gui was personable, open and sharing, and offered many insider tips. Recommended!
