Olympia, a sanctuary of ancient Greece in Elis on the Peloponnese peninsula, is known for hosting the Olympic Games in classical times. Join us in reliving the wonder and thrill of the original Olympic Games, which were held from 776 BC. to 393 AD. as you explore the ruins of the great monuments. Enter the famous archaeological site of Olympia and marvel at the Temple of Hera, in front of which burns the Olympic Flame during modern day Olympic Games. See the Temple of Zeus, which once housed the Golden and Ivory statue of Zeus (one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World) and the original Stadium and Bouleuterion, monuments unlike any other, where once competitors swore an oath to conform to the rules. We stay at Ancient Olympia 3 hours when you can visit the Archeological Sites and the modern village of Olympia for shopping, souvenirs, lunch and snacks.

The staff is highly professional and amazing my wife left her credit card and drivers license on the bus and they were so prompt to call us and return the items ❤️❤️❤️

The travelagent was close to terminal and they were very friendly and well organised. The bus was clean and lots of space. We were taken to the location and dropped off as it said in the itinerary. We were told what time to be back and where. The rest of the time we were on our own and you could do what you wanted to do, which we liked. We walked through the site for hours, looking at everything and taking lots of photos. We visited the museum as well. The bus came back on time to pick us up and bring us back. We were happy with the whole experience!!!

Grekaland Travel and Cesara our coordinator were all fantastic! It’s basically a bus ride out and back to Ancient Olympia . The drive was beautiful and the driver very safe. The spot they drop off/pick up is away from the busy and confusing other tours which was extremely appreciated. They give you a free cold bottle of water, clear instructions of when to be back at bus at check in, at bus loading, and at bus unloading . On our tour a group missed the return bus that two full buses of adults were able to achieve. Cesara was professional and tried to call them numerous times, left messages and waited a few minutes but had to go to keep everyone and all her company buses running on time. She was able to get them on the next return bus but her extraordinary effort that she didn’t need to do was impressive. Would highly recommend any tour from Grekaland Tours! Thank you for being a part of a wonderful day .

Very interesting walk around ruins of Olympia. Pleasant bus trip from Katakolo to Olympia. Enjoyable walking around the ruins of the ancient city and then visiting the museum with amazing sculptures and artefacts from ancient times.
