    We will visit the Maya villa of Chacchoben, the same name and ancestors of the ancient Mayan city. In this visit, witness the daily life of the heirs of this great culture as you interact with your host and his family, they will teach you from the ingredients of the classic tortillas to home remedies for some bites of the endemic fauna. A family visit could not be complete without a meal. In this tour, you will try traditional dishes prepared with ancestral techniques that have been passed down from generation to generation, with local products and fresh produce that will impress the authentic Mayan flavor.

Loved interacting with the wonderful Mayan Family that cooked for us. The ruins were very interesting with all the history, but be advised that climbing them is not for the weak. However, definitely recommend this excursion for the experience.

Native Choice made this experience great! Leaving the port can be tricky but they greeted us with smiles, and ease. Lorenzo was our guide for the Mayan ruins-wow he knows his stuff! We learned so much Mayan history. Maria and Fernando took us to meet the local Mayan family- she is super knowledgeable and sweet. Making tortillas for our AMAZING meal was the best!! Everyone should do this!
