The first place to visit in the Bacalar Lagoon is “Cenote Esmeralda”, where you’ll be amazed by the different shades of blue and understand why the Bacalar Lagoon is frequently referred as the 7 colors lagoon. Our next stop is “Cenote Cocalitos”, home of stromatolites, that are known as living stones and are considered the oldest form of life in the planet. The third point to enjoy will be “Black Cenote” which is an open sky cenote and also the deepest point of the lagoon. The final spot to is the Pirate Channel, as you’ll be explained that day, pirates used to enter Bacalar by using this channel to steal local precious wood. You’ll also have a beautiful view of the different shades of blue of the Lagoon.

Laguna Bacalar

The first glimpse you’ll have of this beautiful lagoon when you get close to the coast from the hill amazing view. Family of seven on cruise stop at Costa Maya

We had seven in our party. Ranging from age 22 to 69. Everyone had a great time! Celina was our tour guide and Eric was our driver and both were great to tour with. The drive there was long, but Celina kept us engaged and gave us a lot of information about the area that we were in and engaged with the different parties on the bus. There were 11 people in our tour. The food and drinks were included. Once we went to Bacalar, we boarded a pontoon boat and visited cenotes in the Lagoon. We had a frisbee and were able to play after anchoring in the swimming area. We then boarded the van and went to lunch and had authentic Mexican lunch. The service was great and we would highly recommend this excursion.

Had an amazing trip with my family!! Service was great the staff was waiting on us! They made everybidy feel welcomed and safe throughout the whole experience! Additionally! They stopped a couple times so we could buy things/souvenirs and such! Great food at a tacos locos I think! But really nice authentic spot!! Definitely recommend!

Wonderful experience with a very friendly staff. Selena was great. We got to see a couple of cenotes and swim in the crystal clear waters along the lagoon. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone.

We had the best time on this excursion! Our guide Selena was beyond amazing! From start to finish she was great. Or van driver Pachuco was awesome. We got picked up just outside the port gates and were greeted with a smile, waters and beers! The 1.5 hour drive went fast with her knowledge and conversation, she even let us play our own music on our speakers. The lagoon was fantastic with warm water, shallow waters and of course beautiful views. Our boat driver, Armando, was super friendly and helpful. They provided endless beers and tequila throughout the trip. The restaurant we stopped at for lunch was so delicious with giant tacos and spicy salsa (mild as well). We had 9 people in our group and every one of us had a blast. Five starts all around for everything! Selena was a 12 out of 10!
